Alaska Highway Fuel Gap Guide

How to handle the long stretches between fuel stops on the Alaska Highway, plus a quick tank range check for cars, trucks and RVs.

We do not publish a list of exact gap distances yet. Stations along the Alaska Highway open, close and change hours, and many are seasonal. Getting a number wrong could strand a family, so for current station locations use the latest MILEPOST and check ahead. Approximate is not good enough for this one.

Mitchell's tip We drove an F-350 diesel, and not every station along the Alaska Highway had diesel. So I stopped every single time I saw diesel, just in case the next station was out or a pump was broken. If you run diesel, do the same.
